Gum gap filler showdown: your own blood product vs donor bone for dental implants

NCT ID NCT07445776

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested two materials used to fill the gap between a dental implant and the bone socket after a tooth is pulled. Twenty-eight adults with a damaged front tooth received an immediate implant, and the gap was filled with either a concentrated blood product (e-PRF) or donated bone (allograft). The researchers measured how stable the implant became and how much bone was lost around it over time.
