New jaw bone techniques tested for faster dental implants

NCT ID NCT05720143

Summary

This study compared three different bone splitting techniques to help place dental implants in people with narrow jaw ridges. Thirty-nine patients with missing back teeth received implants using either osseodensification, piezosurgery, or a magnetic mallet to widen the bone. Researchers measured how much bone width was gained, bone loss over time, and how stable the implants were after placement.
