New dental implant material tested to stop jawbone shrinkage
NCT ID NCT07475507
Summary
This study aims to see if a newer plastic-like material (PEEK) or the traditional metal (titanium) is better at preventing bone loss around dental implants. It involves 20 patients who have lost all their lower teeth and are getting a fixed implant-supported denture. Researchers will measure bone changes around the implants over one year to determine which framework material helps maintain jawbone health.
