Two ways to rebuild jawbone for implants tested
NCT ID NCT06313229
Summary
This study compared two surgical approaches for placing dental implants in patients with severe jawbone loss. Forty-two patients with shrunken upper front jawbones received bone grafts using a special sticky bone mixture and their own bone plates. Researchers tested whether placing the implant at the same time as the bone graft worked as well as doing the graft first and the implant later.
