Denture attachment showdown: digital vs. intraoral Pick-Up
NCT ID NCT07238335
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study compares two methods of picking up attachments for implant-supported dentures: one done digitally before recording jaw relations, and the other done directly in the mouth during denture insertion. Ten participants will receive both types of dentures, and researchers will measure bone changes around the implants over 12 months. The goal is to see which method leads to better bone preservation.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help dentists choose a better technique for making implant-supported dentures, potentially improving long-term bone health.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-stage study with only 10 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It measures bone changes but does not test a new treatment.
As listed by the trial registrant
