Dental dilemma: surgery or a filling lift for deep cavities?
NCT ID NCT07380126
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two dental procedures is better for treating deep cavities located near the bone in back teeth. It will compare a surgical procedure (functional crown lengthening) that reshapes the gum and bone to a non-surgical technique (deep margin elevation) that builds up the tooth with filling material. Researchers will measure gum health and levels of an inflammation marker in 20 participants to see which approach causes less long-term problems.
