New dental filling material put to the test

NCT ID NCT06097143

Summary

This study compared two types of flowable dental filling materials for small cavities in back teeth over 18 months. Researchers wanted to see if a newer material called 'flowable giomer' performed as well as a standard nanofilled composite, especially when the standard material was coated with a protective layer. They measured how well the fillings stayed in place, resisted wear, and prevented new cavities.
