First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a 3D face scan to plan dental crowns reduces the time dentists spend adjusting the crown in your mouth. 33 adults needing a crown on a molar participated. Researchers compared the 3D face scan method to the traditional way of mounting models. The goal was to see if the new method leads to quicker, more precise fittings.
