Can a simple dental cleaning calm a painful mouth condition?
NCT ID NCT07381595
Summary
This study aims to see if a professional dental cleaning (scaling and root planing) can reduce the symptoms and underlying immune activity in people with oral lichen planus when it affects the gums. Researchers will measure symptoms and analyze small gum tissue samples from 30 patients before and four weeks after the cleaning. The goal is to understand if this common dental procedure can help manage this chronic inflammatory condition.
