Can a special bone graft save your jaw after a tooth is pulled?

NCT ID NCT07250256

Summary

This study tested whether a specific bone graft material (S1-XB) helps preserve jawbone better than natural healing after a back tooth is extracted. Researchers compared the two methods in 16 healthy male patients to see which one maintained more bone volume and quality. The goal was to improve conditions for placing a dental implant later by preventing the bone loss that normally happens after a tooth is removed.
