Summary
This study tested whether a new dengue vaccine candidate (V181) was as safe and effective at triggering an immune response as an existing dengue vaccine (Butantan-DV). It involved 1,364 healthy adults in Brazil aged 18-50 who had never had dengue before. Researchers compared the safety and the levels of protective antibodies each vaccine produced one month after vaccination.
