Skin-Deep shot could slash cost of dengue protection

NCT ID NCT06837116

Summary

This small, early study tested whether giving an existing dengue vaccine as a shallow skin shot, instead of the usual deeper injection, could still build strong immunity. Researchers wanted to see if this method could make vaccination cheaper and potentially cause fewer side effects, which would be helpful in areas where dengue is common. The study measured immune responses and safety in 29 healthy adults over four months.
