New program aims to help african american families navigate dementia together
NCT ID NCT07208162
Summary
This study is adapting and testing a support program specifically for African American families where one member has early-stage dementia. The program aims to help both the person with dementia and their care partner communicate better, understand the condition, and improve their relationship and quality of life. Researchers will first adapt the program with community input, then test it with 120 family pairs to see if it is helpful and acceptable.
