New approach aims to ease the difficult journey to hospice care for dementia families

Summary

This study is testing a new care management checklist designed to help families and healthcare providers navigate the transition to hospice care for people with advanced dementia. Researchers will work with 96 participants, including family caregivers and healthcare professionals, to see if this checklist is practical and acceptable to use. The goal is to improve the process of moving to end-of-life care and measure how satisfied families are with the support they receive.
