New tool aims to ease Heart-Wrenching feeding decisions for dementia caregivers

Summary

This study is testing a culturally adapted guide to help Chinese American family caregivers make difficult decisions about feeding options for loved ones with moderate or advanced dementia. The research will see if this tool improves caregivers' knowledge and reduces conflict when choosing between tube feeding and careful hand feeding. The study involves 60 participants and focuses on providing better support during these challenging end-of-life care decisions.
