NCT ID NCT06884202
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This completed study tested how well delefilcon A contact lenses with different diameters and base curves fit the eyes of 257 people with nearsightedness. Researchers checked lens movement and centration right after insertion and again after 6 hours. The goal was to find which lens sizes provide the best fit.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Delefilcon A contact lenses
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help eye doctors choose the best-fitting contact lens for people with nearsightedness, improving comfort and vision.
What could go wrong
This is a completed fitting study, not a treatment trial. It does not test whether the lenses improve vision or eye health long-term. Results may not apply to all lens wearers.
