First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether waiting 72 hours to start blood sugar treatment helps people with severe stroke recover better than starting treatment right away. About 200 adults with severe stroke and high blood sugar will be randomly assigned to either early or delayed treatment. The main goal is to see if delaying treatment reduces the chance of long-term disability or death at 90 days.
