First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at a new way to treat atrial fibrillation (a fast, irregular heartbeat) that can happen after heart surgery. It uses low-energy electrical shocks and special pacing to restore normal rhythm. About 450 adults having planned heart surgery will take part. The goal is to see if this method is safe and works better than current care.
