Breakthrough infection fighter for home feeding tubes enters final testing

Summary
This study is testing whether a new solution called DefenCath can prevent dangerous bloodstream infections in adults who receive nutrition through a feeding tube at home. Researchers will compare DefenCath against the standard heparin solution in 200 participants over 12 months to see which better prevents infections. The goal is to provide a safer option for people who rely on feeding tubes for their nutrition.
