First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how different dental materials affect gum health and the success of fillings when a cavity extends below the gum line. Researchers will use two materials to build up the deep part of the cavity, then place a 3D-printed crown or onlay. Forty-eight adults will be followed for one year to see which combination works best.
