First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether a computer program could predict if thyroid cancer had spread to lymph nodes by analyzing video of special dyes injected during surgery. 131 adults with papillary thyroid cancer and no signs of spread before surgery took part. The goal was to see if the computer's predictions matched the actual lab results from removed tissue, which could help surgeons decide how much to remove.
