Summary
This study tests whether adding a drug called decitabine to standard chemotherapy can improve remission rates in adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that is harder to treat. About 178 participants will receive either low or high dose decitabine alongside chemo drugs daunorubicin and cytarabine. The goal is to see which dose works better at killing cancer cells and stopping the disease from coming back.
