First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested Daxxin Psoriasis Shampoo in 41 adults with moderate scalp psoriasis. Participants used the shampoo 3 to 7 times a week for 6 weeks. The goal was to see if it reduced scalp redness, thickness, and scaling, and improved quality of life. Results showed most people had at least some improvement.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Daxxin Psoriasis Shampoo (a medicated shampoo device)
What this could lead to
If it works, this shampoo could offer a safe, easy-to-use option for managing scalp psoriasis at home.
What could go wrong
This was a small, single-site study with no comparison group, so results may not apply to everyone. The shampoo is already on the market, so this is a routine check, not a breakthrough.
