Sweet swap: dates may tame diabetes
NCT ID NCT07467967
Summary
This study is testing whether eating three dates daily for eight weeks can help people with well-controlled type 2 diabetes. Participants will swap dates for another carbohydrate portion in their diet, like fruit or dessert, without changing their overall calories or medications. Researchers will measure changes in blood sugar control, insulin resistance, and markers of bodily stress to see if this simple food substitution is safe and beneficial.
