Can a Heart-Healthy diet reverse fatty liver in kids?

NCT ID NCT07480811

Summary

This study is testing whether the DASH diet, a balanced eating plan known for lowering blood pressure, can help children with fatty liver disease (MASLD). Researchers will compare the diet's effects on liver fat, insulin resistance, and other health markers in 88 children over 12 weeks against a control group. The goal is to see if this dietary change can be a safe and effective way to manage this increasingly common childhood condition.
