Chocolate for a calmer pregnancy checkup?
NCT ID NCT07418151
Summary
This study is testing whether eating a small piece of dark chocolate can help when a routine pregnancy test shows a baby's heart rate isn't as active as expected. Pregnant women with this 'non-reactive' test result will either eat dark chocolate or a look-alike placebo. Researchers will then check if the baby's heart rate becomes more active within 20 minutes, which could help avoid unnecessary extra tests or worry.
