Could your daily chocolate fix help your heart?

NCT ID NCT06820944

Summary

This study tested whether eating dark chocolate daily could help lower blood pressure and reduce a specific heart disease risk marker in men with high blood pressure. 53 Thai men with hypertension ate either dark chocolate or white chocolate daily for two weeks, then switched after a break. Researchers compared the two to see if a natural compound in dark chocolate called theobromine made a difference.
