ICU study hunts for clues in dangerous diabetes drug mix

NCT ID NCT07193069

Summary

This study aims to help doctors better treat patients who have taken a dangerous overdose of diabetes medications. It will compare 50 adults in intensive care who overdosed on metformin alone to those who took both metformin and dapagliflozin. The goal is to identify specific signs that signal a dapagliflozin overdose, which could lead to faster, more accurate treatment.
