Ancient chinese medicine tested as potential lifesaver for sepsis heart damage

NCT ID NCT07375862

Summary

This study is testing whether a traditional Chinese medicine injection called Danhong can protect the heart in patients with sepsis. Researchers will enroll 140 patients with sepsis-induced heart damage and randomly assign them to receive either Danhong injection or a placebo. The main goals are to see if the treatment improves heart function markers within 7 days and reduces 28-day mortality rates.
