Braces showdown: which type straightens teeth quicker?
NCT ID NCT07185087
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study compares two types of braces—DAMON self-ligating braces and traditional MBT braces—to see which one straightens teeth faster and improves patient cooperation during the first 6 months of treatment. About 34 people aged 16 to 40 with mild to moderate crowding will participate. Researchers will measure tooth alignment, oral hygiene, and gum health at several check-ups.

- What this could lead to
- If successful, this study could show that DAMON braces straighten teeth faster and are easier for patients to manage than traditional braces.
