Milk vs. soy: the gut health showdown in your grocery cart
NCT ID NCT07257913
Summary
This study aims to understand how adding different beverages—milk, fermented milk (like yogurt), or soy drinks—to a diet based on Canada's Food Guide affects gut health. Researchers will provide all meals to 20 middle-aged adults with abdominal obesity and slightly high cholesterol or blood sugar. Each participant will try all three beverage plans in a random order to see which one leads to better gut bacteria, less gut inflammation, and improved digestion.
