First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how adding milk, fermented milk, or soy drinks to a healthy diet changes gut health in 20 middle-aged adults with belly fat and slightly high cholesterol or blood sugar. Participants follow a diet based on Canadian guidelines and drink one of the three beverages three times a day for 9 days. Researchers measure gut barrier function, inflammation, and digestion to see if dairy offers extra benefits over soy.
