New eye drop could ease chronic GVHD dry eye symptoms

NCT ID NCT06852768

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether an eye drop called d-MAPPS is safe and can help relieve dry eye symptoms caused by chronic graft-versus-host disease (oGVHD), a complication after stem cell transplant. One adult participant will receive either the active drop or a placebo, and researchers will track changes in dry eye scores over 90 days. The goal is to manage symptoms and improve eye comfort, not to cure the underlying condition.
