Scientists probe immune System's role in cystic fibrosis

NCT ID NCT04970225

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a specific type of white blood cell, called a neutrophil, behaves in people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Researchers compared blood samples from 47 CF patients to samples from healthy donors and patients with other inflammatory diseases. They analyzed how infections and different CF medications might change these immune cells' activity and function.
