New nasal spray aims to bring back lost smell

NCT ID NCT06019000

Summary

This study tested a new nasal spray called CYR-064 to see if it is safe and can help adults who have lost some of their sense of smell (hyposmia). About 150 participants in the U.S. used either the spray or a placebo dummy spray for 24 weeks. The main goal was to check for side effects, while also measuring if people reported improvements in their ability to smell and taste.
