New urine test could spare thousands from painful bladder scopes

NCT ID NCT05889195

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive urine test called Cxbladder Triage-Plus to see if it can accurately detect bladder cancer in people who have blood in their urine (microscopic hematuria). Currently, many patients need a cystoscopy, an invasive camera procedure, to check for cancer, which can be painful and cause anxiety. The study will enroll about 1,000 adults scheduled for cystoscopy and compare the test's results to standard diagnosis.
