Urine test may spot bladder cancer without a scope

NCT ID NCT04943380

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a urine test called Cxbladder can accurately detect bladder cancer in people who have blood in their urine (hematuria). Researchers compared the test results to the standard method, cystoscopy (a camera inside the bladder), in 682 veterans. The goal was to see if the urine test could reliably identify who has cancer and who does not, potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures.
