Summary

This study looked at how different materials used in custom healing abutments affect gum healing after immediate dental implant placement in back teeth. Twenty healthy adults who needed a tooth replaced received an implant and a custom healing cap made from one of several materials. The researchers measured changes in gum shape and height to see which material worked best for guiding soft tissue healing.
