Custom-Fit stents tested to tame dangerous aortic bulges
NCT ID NCT03295682
Summary
This study observed 47 patients with complex thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms, which are dangerous bulges in the body's main artery. Doctors treated them with custom-made, multi-branch stent grafts—flexible mesh tubes designed to fit each patient's unique anatomy. The main goal was to see if this personalized approach could safely control the aneurysm, measured by whether its size was stable or smaller one year after the procedure.
