High-Tech mouthguard aims to stop jaw pain
NCT ID NCT07364552
Summary
This study tested if a custom-made mouth splint, designed using a device that tracks a person's unique jaw movements, works better than a standard splint for people who grind their teeth. Forty adults with mild-to-moderate teeth grinding or jaw pain were randomly given either the custom splint or a standard one to wear for eight weeks. Researchers measured changes in jaw movement, pain levels, and patient comfort to see which splint provided better relief.
