3D-Printed jaw plates aim to improve surgery results

NCT ID NCT07320924

Summary

This study is testing custom-made, 3D-printed metal plates designed to help rebuild a person's jawbone after part of it is removed. It involves 14 patients who need jaw reconstruction due to tumors, infection, or injury. Researchers will check if these patient-specific plates lead to fewer complications and better jaw movement compared to standard plates that must be bent during surgery.
