Custom stents offer lifeline for High-Risk aneurysm patients

NCT ID NCT02050113

Summary

This study is testing custom-made and surgeon-modified stent grafts to repair dangerous aortic aneurysms in patients who cannot use standard devices or safely wait for surgery. It aims to see if these tailored devices can safely and effectively seal off the aneurysm while maintaining blood flow to vital organs like the kidneys and liver. The trial is open to 600 adults with complex aneurysms who are at high risk for traditional open surgery.
