New study aims to beat stubborn stomach bug with triple therapy

Summary

This study tests three different anti-ulcer medications (Dexlansoprazole, Lansoprazole, and Vonoprazan) combined with two antibiotics (Levofloxacin and Amoxicillin) to treat H. pylori infection. About 942 adults in Pakistan who have H. pylori will be randomly assigned to one of the three treatment groups for 14 days. The main goal is to see which combination best clears the infection, measured by a breath test four weeks after treatment.
