First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether curcumin, a natural compound found in turmeric, can help clear HPV infection in women with mild cervical precancer or those recently treated for high-grade precancer. About 200 women will insert a curcumin capsule or a placebo into their vagina once a week for 6 months. The goal is to see if curcumin leads to higher HPV clearance and lower disease recurrence.
