NCT ID NCT05816707
First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether curcumin, a compound found in turmeric, can improve healing of the gums and bone after a tooth is removed. Thirty adults with two badly decayed back teeth each had both teeth pulled. One socket received curcumin or a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) treatment, while the other socket healed naturally as a control. The researchers measured soft tissue healing and bone density to see if curcumin made a difference.
