New software aims to clear the blur in CT scans with metal

NCT ID NCT07317479

Summary

This study is testing a new computer program designed to improve CT scan images when a patient has metal implants, like joint replacements or dental fillings. The software aims to reduce the blurry streaks and distortions these metals can cause, helping doctors see the surrounding areas more clearly. Researchers will compare images processed with the new software to standard images in 120 adult patients.
