Drug delivery showdown: pen vs. syringe
NCT ID NCT06951828
Summary
This study tested whether a biosimilar drug (CT-P43, similar to Stelara) works the same way in the body when given by an auto-injector pen versus a traditional pre-filled syringe. It involved 162 healthy male volunteers to compare how the body absorbs the drug and to check for safety. The goal was to see if the easier-to-use auto-injector is just as effective as the syringe.
