New technology aims to see through metal in medical scans

NCT ID NCT07317479

Summary

This study is testing a new computer program designed to improve CT scan images when patients have metal implants or objects in their bodies. The program aims to reduce the blurry streaks and distortions that metal can cause in medical images, potentially helping doctors see more clearly. Researchers will compare the new algorithm against current methods using scans from 120 adult patients who have various types of metal in their bodies.
