Global study aims to bring advanced cancer treatment to more women
NCT ID NCT07249021
Summary
This study aims to see if using CT scans, which are more widely available, can effectively guide a precise form of internal radiation therapy (brachytherapy) for cervical cancer. It will involve about 1,200 women with locally advanced cervical cancer and compare the results to the current gold standard that uses MRI scans. The goal is to make this highly effective treatment more accessible, especially in regions with limited resources.
