NCT ID NCT07496723
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at how using CT scans and a scoring system called AIR can help doctors decide if an appendix really needs to be removed. It involves 200 adults with suspected appendicitis who are already scheduled for surgery. The goal is to see how often the appendix is actually healthy after removal, and whether the CT and AIR results match the final lab findings.
